WEST LIBERTY — The West Liberty-Salem girls soccer team (7-4-1) put together a dominant performance Thursday night, blanking Southeastern (5-7) 8-0 on Oct. 1.

The Tigers controlled the match from start to finish, finding the back of the net eight times while keeping Southeastern off the scoreboard throughout the contest.

Freshman Avery Brown led the offensive attack with a hat trick, scoring three goals and adding an assist for a seven-point night. Sophomore Karlee Lucas also found the net twice, while senior Jenna Cline, senior Skyler Ropp and junior Ellery Wygal each added a goal.

West Liberty-Salem also received assists from Kennedy Bowman, Emily King and Lilly Yeater.

The Tigers peppered the Southeastern goal with 39 total shots, putting 22 of those attempts on target. Brown was especially efficient, scoring on three of her five shots and putting all five attempts on frame.

Lucas added six shots with five on goal, while Cline recorded seven shots and two shots on goal. Ropp finished with four shots, and Wygal added three.

Defensively, Ella Jacobs recorded the shutout in goal as West Liberty-Salem held Southeastern scoreless for the entire match.

The 8-0 victory gave the Tigers another strong showing on both ends of the field, combining a balanced scoring attack with a clean defensive effort.

West Liberty-Salem will look to carry the momentum from Thursday's shutout into its next match as the regular season continues. They return to action against the Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders in a Logan County Clash.
