Some of us lived it. The hairstyles. The bellbottoms and tube tops. The power suits and preppie jackets and punk band t-shirts. And, of course, there was the music, from disco to New Wave to the Queen of Country, Dolly Parton.

In 1980, Dolly co-starred in a comedy about women in the workplace called 9 to 5. She sang the theme song for the movie … and it launched her into superstardom. In 2008, they turned it into a musical, with Dolly writing the lyrics.

And now you have a chance to see it yourself when the Holland Theatre and Windmill Productions present 9 to 5: The Musical on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 21, at 2 p.m.
