West Liberty-Salem Schools junior Ellery Wygal has been selected as one of 16 students statewide to serve on the 2026-2027 Ohio Student Safety Advisory Council.

This honor is awarded by the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC) to student leaders who are passionate about creating safer, more supportive school environments.

Ellery follows in the footsteps of fellow Tigers Ava Johnson and Abbie Thoman, who also represented West Liberty-Salem on the Ohio Student Safety Advisory Council.

Ava served from 2023-2025, helping shape student-driven safety initiatives and ensuring student voices were heard at the state level. Abbie was selected to serve on the 2025-2026 Council and continues that tradition of leadership and service.
