America Reads the Bible, an initiative inspired by Ezra’s public reading of Scripture in the book of Nehemiah, will host a national, weeklong public reading of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
The event will bring together leaders and everyday Americans for a shared moment of faith and unity at the Bible Museum in Washington, D.C.
Beginning April 18, Great American Pure Flix will offer this free event via its streaming service in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States. The reading is also open to the public at the Bible Museum.

Scheduled readers include Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Dr. Ben Carson, several U.S. congressmen and women, singer Danny Gokey, actress Patricia Heaton, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Candace Cameron Bure and many others.
Through the America Reads the Bible initiative, individuals, families and churches across the country are invited to step into a shared journey through Scripture — one day and one passage at a time.
In a culture filled with noise and distraction, this week offers something strikingly simple: a chance to slow down, open God’s Word, and encounter truth that has endured for generations.
