Good evening! How’s your week going, Logan County Chronicle subscribers! We are excitedly continuing to prepare for our premiere print edition that will be coming to a newsstand near you soon. Our content team met this afternoon and we have a lot of creative plans, activities to cover and interviews to conduct in the upcoming days and weeks, so we can bring some interesting and relevant stories your way. The energy is building and we can’t wait!

Tom Stephens attended the Bellefontaine City Council meeting last night and provides a detailed update about how the first of three votes went on the ordinance proposing the sale of the Bellefontaine Armory to Wawa Midwest, LLC.

In creepy crawly news of the week, tick season is unfortunately upon us, and the Logan County Health District and the CDC offer advice on how to protect yourself and what to do if you happen to find one of these disease-carrying arachnids attached to your skin.

Student achievements abound on our site today as well, with Benjamin Logan Envirothon’s team advancing to the state content, local student artists making their mark in the Congressional Art Contest and Indian Lake High School Quiz Bowl’s recent trip to Chicago for the NAQT Small School Championship.

Nikki Burkhamer also gives us the details about a special collection drive planned for this weekend at a local church, where individuals can donate wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes and anything mobility-related. Those donated items will be distributed to 26 different countries around the world.

Do you have a topic that you think we should delve into for our premiere edition or subsequent print editions? Send us an e-mail at [email protected]. We’d love to get connected with you!

Have a nice evening, and thanks for being here,

Mandy Loehr
