Healthy Kids Day is a national initiative celebrated at Ys across the country to help inspire healthy habits in kids, families and the community.
Saturday, April 18, the Hilliker YMCA, 300 Sloan Blvd., hosts the fun-filled activities that are free to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Healthy Kids Day is a more than 30-year tradition promoting wellness in kids and families, and it’s packed with energy and opportunities to connect. All families are welcome to explore the YMCA through engaging, kid-friendly activities, discover new ways to stay active and healthy, and meet community partners who support families year-round.

Outside, an obstacle course and bounce house will be set up on the grounds. The YMCA will also host football, kickball and sand volleyball outdoors.
In addition, the YMCA Camp Willson will host a gaga pit and archery.
Kids of all ages are also invited to check out the Touch A Truck, featuring police cruisers and fire trucks from a variety of community partners, including the Bellefontaine Fire Department, Bellefontaine Police Department and the Logan County Sheriff's Office.
Indoors, attendees can cool off with a dip in the pool during open swim, which will be offered until 2 p.m.
The YMCA Early Learning Child Care will be on site, teaching kids the joy of tumbling. Josh Monroe will challenge participants in a workout, and maybe even a game of tug of war.
