Youths are at the heart of an annual event that takes place Saturday, April 25, offering free food and activities, from a horse petting zoo to a magic show, DJ, face painting, balloon sculpting and more at the Logan County Children’s Services’ KidFest 2026.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bellefontaine High School and is hosted during April each year in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Earlier this month, 452 pinwheels were placed on the Logan County Courthouse lawn — each one representing a child served in Logan County in 2025.

“These pinwheels are more than a display… they are a powerful reminder of why prevention, awareness and community support matter,” LCCS officials said.
“Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and protected.”
During Saturday’s festivities, performances are planned by Gloria’s Tumbling and Dance Fuzion. The magic show begins at noon.
Child ID kits and community resources booths will be offered at BHS, along with cookie decorating, and other refreshments include hot dogs, snow cones and popcorn.
Fire trucks will also be on site from Bellefontaine, DeGraff and Huntsville fire departments.
In preparation for KidFest, a number of community partners have offered their support and donations.
“We are so excited for our upcoming Kidfest event and we want to thank the incredible community partners who made it possible,” LCCS officials said.
“Because of their generosity, this event is sure to be full of fun, connection and community spirit.”
One-Eyed Cookie Lab donated all 400 sugar cookies for kids to decorate. Easton Water Solutions for provided water to keep everyone refreshed. Thoman's IGA and Momma T’s Meats & Sweets for donated hot dogs and buns.
