A Kids Fishing Derby is planned for 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at Moundwood Marina shelter house, 8033 State Route 368, Huntsville.

Join the Indian Lake State Park and the Ohio Division of Wildlife for a free youth fishing derby. The event is open to youths under age 16, accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Registration will open at 8:30 am at the Moundwood shelter house, and the derby will begin at 9 a.m.

At 11 a.m., the fishing will conclude and prizes will be handed out for the top three biggest fish. There will be a drawing for other prizes as well.

Be sure to dress for the weather. Participants should take their own fishing rod, bait and chairs. There will be a limited number of rods available to be borrowed for those without.
