Logan County officials announced Tuesday, Oct. 13, that the county has been honored with the receipt of the Auditor of State Award from Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber in recognition of its commitment to sound financial management, accurate recordkeeping and accountability in public service.
The Auditor of State Award is presented to local governments and school districts that receive an exemplary audit report following a financial audit conducted by the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office. The award recognizes entities that meet established financial reporting requirements, accuracy, transparency, and demonstrate a commitment to keeping their financial records in order.
In addition, the award acknowledges the county’s financial reporting and recordkeeping practices. It also reinforces the importance of continued collaboration among county offices to ensure accountability and confidence in the use of public resources.

RESER
Logan County Auditor Jack Reser emphasized that this recognition extends well beyond the Logan County Auditor’s Office. He noted that it reflects the collective efforts of county departments, elected officials, department heads, and public servants who work together to maintain accurate records, promote transparency, and ensure responsible stewardship of public funds.
“While I am proud of the work performed by the staff of the Logan County Auditor’s Office, this award is a reflection of the dedication and professionalism of our entire county government,” Auditor Reser said in a release.
“Every department and elected official has a role in maintaining the financial integrity of Logan County. This recognition belongs to all those who take their responsibilities seriously and work diligently to serve our citizens.”
Auditor Reser noted that financial excellence is not achieved by one office alone and it requires teamwork, cooperation, attention to detail and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.
“Accurate financial records and transparency are essential to maintaining public trust, and I am grateful to work alongside so many dedicated public servants who share that commitment,” he said in the release.
“This award is something all 560 public servants of Logan County government can celebrate. It recognizes the collective efforts of our public servants and elected officials, whose daily work contributes to the financial strength and integrity of our county. I thank each of them for their commitment to excellence and public service.”
Logan County extended its appreciation to the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office for this recognition and to all county public servants and elected officials whose dedication helped make this achievement possible.
