An ordinance that will propose the sale of the Bellefontaine Armory, 1021 S. Main St., to Wawa Midwest LLC, will make its first appearance before the Bellefontaine City Council at its regular meeting Tuesday, April 28, at 7:30 p.m.
Wawa Midwest, LLC is a Delaware-based chain that offers fuel and convenience store services and which is rapidly expanding in Ohio, having established a number of locations in the Cincinnati area and recently opened stores in Lima and Springfield.
Many bargains are on tap May 16 when the annual West Liberty Fire Sales returns to the village. Nikki Burkhamer discovered the origins of the Fire Sales by interviewing Andrew Blount about the tragic fire in 1880.
West Liberty-Salem recently recognized approximately two dozen high schoolers with the 21st annual White Tiger Awards. The award was established by longtime educator Angie Warye, honoring students who go above and beyond in kindness, perseverance and uplifting others — rare individuals, much like the majestic white tiger itself.
