As Major League Baseball’s summer showcase approaches, fans across Ohio have a chance to help send their favorite players to the sport’s biggest midsummer event.

Voting for the MLB All-Star Game allows fans to choose many of the starting position players who will represent the American League and National League. Whether you’re cheering for the Cincinnati Reds or the Cleveland Guardians, casting a ballot is one of the easiest ways to support your favorite stars.

How All-Star Voting Works

Fans can vote online through Major League Baseball’s official website or through the MLB mobile app. Voting is free and typically takes only a few minutes.

The voting process is divided into two phases:

Phase 1: Fans vote for players at each position. The top vote-getters advance to the next round, while the leading vote-getter in each league automatically earns a starting spot.

Phase 2: Fans choose from the finalists at each position to determine the remaining starters for the All-Star Game.

Pitchers and reserve players are selected through a combination of player voting and decisions made by the league and coaching staffs.

How to Cast Your Vote

  1. Visit MLB.com or open the MLB app.

  2. Log in or create a free MLB account.

  3. Select your favorite players at each position.

  4. Submit your ballot.

  5. Return daily to vote again while voting remains open.

Fans are generally allowed to vote multiple times during the voting period, making it possible to support their favorite players throughout the process.

Reds Players to Watch

Cincinnati fans have several players worthy of All-Star consideration this season. Dynamic shortstop Elly De La Cruz continues to be one of baseball’s most exciting players thanks to his combination of power, speed and highlight-reel defense.

Other Reds who may receive strong support include standout starting pitchers and key contributors who have helped Cincinnati remain competitive throughout the season.

Guardians Players to Watch

In Cleveland, fans are rallying behind several Guardians stars. Third baseman José Ramírez remains one of the American League’s premier players José Ramírez, though he suffered a left hand injury this month, which places his actual participation in question.

Young standout Travis Bazzana is leading all American League second basemen in early Phase 1 fan voting. Steven Kwan is also aiming for another All-Star nod.

Why Fan Voting Matters

The All-Star Game is one of baseball’s oldest traditions, bringing together the game’s biggest stars for a celebration of the sport. Fan voting gives supporters a direct voice in deciding who receives the honor of starting on baseball’s biggest summer stage.

For Reds and Guardians fans alike, every vote is an opportunity to help showcase Ohio’s baseball talent in front of a national audience.

Voting remains open for a limited time, so fans hoping to see their favorite players in the All-Star Game should make their selections early—and often.
